'Koyelaanchal' is a story of Saryu Bhan Singh (Vinod Khanna), who runs the coal mafia and rules the people belonging there. His henchmen traumatizes everyone who opposes him. The government sends District Collector Nisheeth Kumar (Suniel Shetty) to collect evidence against Saryu Bhan Singh. Before Nisheeth could even go ahead with his enquiry, Nisheeth's son is kidnapped by Saryu Bhan Singh's most trusted henchmen Karua (Vipinno). What happens next is what the entire film is all about.
Director Ashu Trikha brings up an interesting tale, but adds up a lot of side tracks and unwanted stuffs which ruins the whole film and its basic concept. He could have made this movie a decent action thriller, but goes on the dramatic part and fails miserably. The whole movie seemed like a product from the late 80s and early 90's and lacked over the contemporary factor. Read More
